GEM America, Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of the newly constructed UK test facility and GEM Thermal Cracker at Port Talbot, South Wales.

The original converter had been a faithful R&D and limited demonstration unit since its build in 1997 and had undergone many hundreds of startups and cooling proving metal integrity as well as fabrication design and techniques.

Sept 2007

A GEM Thermal Cracking Conversion facility has been installed in the USA and has completed its initial startup and EPA review.

GEM America, Inc. is pleased to announce their Thermal Cracking Conversion Technology/process has received the go ahead to commence operations.

November 2008

A newly constructed GEM Thermal Cracking installation for conversion of MSW to syn gas at Yorkshire, UK has been completed and intial testing is scheduled for Dec 2008.
